Our Specialties

Infertility

Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive after one year of regular, unprotected sexual intercourse. In women 35 years or older, infertility is typically defined after six months of trying to conceive. It can affect both men and women and may arise from a variety of medical, hormonal, genetic, and lifestyle factors. While the journey through infertility can be challenging, advancements in medical science and supportive communities offer hope and possibilities for achieving your dreams of parenthood.

Hormonal Imbalance and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS):

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is a common hormonal disorder that affects 5 to 10% of women. It is characterized by irregular menstrual cycles, elevated levels of androgens (such as testosterone), and in some cases, the presence of cysts on the ovaries. Women with PCOS may experience various symptoms, including weight gain, acne, excessive body and facial hair, and difficulties with fertility. Additionally, those with PCOS have a higher risk of developing diabetes and metabolic syndrome. If left untreated, PCOS can elevate the risk of uterine cancer. With individualized treatment, patients can take control over their own healthcare.

Menopause

Menopause is a natural biological process that marks the end of a woman's menstrual cycles and fertility. It is diagnosed after 12 months have passed since the last menstrual period. Most women experience menopause in their early 50s. Common symptoms may include hot flashes, night sweats, decreased libido, painful intercourse, mood swings, and cognitive changes often referred to as "brain fog." Menopause, while bringing about various challenges, also signals a new beginning in a woman's life filled with opportunities for self-discovery, empowerment, and embracing a vibrant and fulfilling future.

Sexual Well-Being

Low libido, or a decrease in sexual desire, is a common concern for many women at different stages of life. This issue can be influenced by a variety of factors, including hormonal changes, psychological well-being, and relationship dynamics. During perimenopause and menopause, women often experience a decline in hormone levels, which can lead to reduced sexual desire. It’s important to recognize the complexities surrounding low libido, as doing so can help address concerns and enhance overall sexual health. If you're experiencing low libido, you're not alone, and there are strategies and solutions that can help.

Skin and Hair:

Aging skin and hair are natural processes influenced by genetics, hormones, UV exposure, pollution, and lifestyle choices. As skin ages, it loses elasticity and collagen, leading to sagging, dryness, fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, and slower cell turnover, with these changes becoming more noticeable in middle age. Aging hair experiences a reduction in melanin, resulting in gray or white strands, along with decreased thickness and density, making it more brittle and prone to breakage. Additionally, women may notice changes in hair texture and volume. These aging processes can be affected by factors like hormonal shifts and nutrition, prompting the need for tailored skincare and hair care practices to maintain health and appearance. With a holistic approach you can achieve younger, healthier appearing skin and hair.

Women’s Health Concerns and Family Planning:

Women’s health encompasses a range of issues related to gynecological well-being such as birth control, urinary tract infections, vaginal infections, hormonal imbalances, and irregular or heavy menstrual periods. By prioritizing awareness and proactive care, women can empower themselves to address these health concerns effectively and enhance their overall well-being.

Perimenopause

Perimenopause is the transitional phase between a woman's reproductive years and menopause. It typically lasts about 5 years. Symptoms may include irregular menstrual cycles, vaginal dryness, hot flashes, mood swings, and sleep difficulties, which can vary in intensity and impact daily life. However, with the right healthcare support and self-care strategies, many women find this phase can also bring a renewed focus on health and well-being, paving the way for a thriving new chapter in life.
